Well it all started about seven years ago when a friend of mine introduced me to Acid Pro on the computer. I was pretty excited because I always had music in my head and here was a chance to get it out. I messed around on it for awhile and came out with a few tracks. I ended up burning a cd and let some of my friends check it out. To my surprise they actually liked what I made. From there it pretty much became an addiction. I custom built a computer, dropped some doe on a good sound card, and picked up my first MIDI controller (Novation Remote 25). Now about seven years later I find myself still producing tracks, only now I'm really trying to focus on all aspects, especially mastering the completed tracks.
It's great to have a good piece of music, but to really master a track to bring out the best of its sounds really appeals to me. I'm currently working with a Novation X-Station (61), microKorg, Korg Electribe, some rack mount effects, and an Alesis 3630 compressor/Limiter. The rest of the studio is on my computer. You'll catch me mostly on Ableton Live but also Cubase SX3. I have way to many VST's to list, but my top three favorites would have to be Arturia Mini Moog, Arturia Analog Factory, and Korg Legacy Series. When it comes to final mastering of a track I use Extreme Punch and the Waves Diamond 5 bundle. You should google those ;)

Artist Mission
Although I have never had any professional training or schooling for audio engineering I believe I have a talent for it. I just hear it, and I believe thats the first step. Funny that I'm an Engineer in my day job (Mechanical), sure would love the change to be an Audio Engineer as well. Anyone in my area (Dallas, TX) up for giving me a shot in the studio? ;)
Music Influences
Wow, too many to list really. My likes are all over the place from Pink Floyd to Deftones.
