Aine ( pronounced AW-NYA ) is a 24 year old singer/songwriter from Bundoran in the North West of Ireland. She was a member of the Irish Surf Team from '96 - '01 and it was then she began playing guitar on regular surf trips around the world. Well known in Ireland for her original music and regular national t.v and radio appearences. Over the years she gigged all over Ireland doing the pub, clubs & college circuit building up a strong & loyal fanbase one fan being DAVE FANNING (2fm D.J) who assisted in the U2's fame & a man who knows good music & fresh talent when he comes across them! She has appeared on Dave's tv show, THE LAST BROADCAST with artists such as REM, COLDPLAY, DAMIEN RICE to name a few. Aine's music has been described as Modern Folk / Rock assisted by accomplished guitar playing and her unique vocals & lyrics combined with powerful live perfromances that make the package all that bit more special! Aine is not only based in Ireland, she tours Europe regularly always adding another country to her tours as the word of her music is spreading fast! This year she will also be one of the Headline acts to perform at the IRISH CONNECTIONS FESTIVAL in Boston June 10th-12th and go on to perform in New York to play in CBJB'S & THE C-NOTE among others to play a few special gigs. During the summer months she will return to Holland, Germany etc for her Summer European Tour. Aine hopes to record an album in the autum when she returns fro her travels!

Aine is a professional when it comes to her music, she has travelled and gigged all over the world working very hard so people can hear about her. Her lyrics and vocals have always been described as being unique. She has wonderful presence on stage and when you see her perform and work with her audience you realise that this young woman has something special to offer the music industry. Music Influences
Every record in our house growing up was Country & Western record, from an early age I was introduced to Dolly Parton & Johnny Cash and my mother perfromed in the showbands & I dreamed of singing like her one day in big venues. Then when I discovered the guitar at the age of 16, I got in to the grunge scene which led to my realisation the 60's - 70's era discovering artists such as Joni Mitchell, Niel Young & my biggest influence to date in my eyes the ultimate rock-chick Janis Joplin. From the moment she walked on stage the audience were captured and they were then realed in by her lyrics. I prefer not to limit myself to one major genre influence and I am always aware of what is in the charts, what is popular and what the pulblic want to hear and combine it with what I create for the public so hopefully everyone is happy!
