Artist Biography

The Bay Legends...the name in itself says it all. Allright it goes like this our rap group (The Bay Legends) is currently composed of three rappers Joseph (a.k.a. Cali Playmaker) , Marquel (a.k.a. M.A.D. Skilz), and your's trully Bryan (a.k.a. One Mic)

It all started about four years ago. Me (One Mic) and M.A.D. Skillz were just recording our voices on my computer. For weeks that was the thing to do. Not that we were rapping or anything, we was playin around. Then I think it was me (or Marquel) i can't remember...but one of us thought we should start a rapping group called "B.A.M." It stood for Bryan and Marquel. We didn't really get too far with that idea. We were writing but nothing was going down. Just when we were about to put our rapping lifestyle away, Vegas Playmaker (Joseph's Rap Name at the time), stepped up in to the group. Now cuz Playmaker was in the group, we couldn't have the group name as B.A.M. (I thought it was a hella weak name anyway) So after some thought we all agreed on our new name "The Cleanup Crew". As the C.U.C we started to become known around the local area. We was hella juiced, we had the lyrics to our songs we had the beats, everything. The only problem was we didn't know the first thing about the studio or making the music on the computer. This was our down fall...as a matter of fact we was down for about a year or two. In that time period we were learning everything we needed to know about recording. No, not from anybody else...from ourselves. Nobody wanted to help us cuz they thought we wasn't real. They thought cuz we had been working for so long and hadn't came up with anything, that we never would. So about 2 years after the C.U.C; it was November 2004 I think. All three members of the Cleanup Crew were on a three way. We were debating what we should change our group name to.......2 hours later.......we agreed on our final and official group name The Bay Legends.
