Artist Biography

Originally from Long Island, New York, Byrd has captivated audiences all of his musical life. Growing up as Michael Rice, Byrd adopted the Bass guitar as an earth-moving element to make people stand up and notice that the bass guitar is not just an instrument to help keep the back beat, but a unique instrument to move your soul.

His accomplishments include winning the Apollo amateur night contest twice in a row,recording his first single at age 16, back-up bass player for Mary Wells and Cecil Womack, being signed as a recording artists at Circo Records, and being the founder of Eagle Entertainment International (E.E.I. Records)
