Q. How do I use the Music Resource Directory?
A. The Artistopia Music Resource Directory is loaded with some of the most useful, informative, and creative music links on the Internet, as well as links to specific Music Artists and Bands. You can search by specific name, alphabetically, or by keyword. (That's a good reason to make your description keyword positive for easy searching for your specific site!) Descriptions can be up to 255 characters letting the viewer know exactly what they will find when they click that link.
- Vote your favorite links.
- Find a link in our Directory that you love? Add the link to your Address Book for a reference.
- Find a link NOT in our Directory that SHOULD be? Please feel free to add it!!
- We appreciate a return link back, though it is not required. It is to both of our benefits to have reciprocating links.
Q. How do I link to Artistopia?
A. If you have a music-related link to add to our Music Resource Directory, simply add your link to Submit A Resource. All of the entries to our Music Directory are manually edited and added by our Link Master, so all entries must be correct, and of relevance to our Music Community and visitors. The Directory is keyword searchable, so a good, short description is advised of up to 255 characters. Please notify Artistopia if a broken link is found, at General Inquiry. Reciprocal linking though not mandatory, is highly recommended. Linking to Artistopia information, is found at Link To Artistopia.
Again, only music related sites will be accepted in the Directory. The title of the web site must be clearly stated. The listings are resource links, so the description must relate to what is found on the site. If you need to advertise a product or service, go to Advertise on Artistopia.
Q. Can I add my Artistopia URL link to the Directory?
A. Yes, simply go to our Music Resource Directory and add your music-related link. A URL may only be added once, so please check to make sure you are not already in our database before adding your link. The link is a description of your web site, not an advertisement, so a good quality description is needed.
AND members, remember to add your Artistopia URL while you are in the Artistopia message boards use the EDIT SETTINGS at the top right to add your URL SIGNATURE to each post whenever you start or reply to a thread.
On your profile page IS your Artist Web address URL. Notice the "Promote This Artist" under your image in your profile? Viewers can help drop your link for you as well. (Internet street team so to speak.) Dropping your link wherever you go, is promoting yourself.
Q. What is a reciprocated link?
A. A reciprocated link is an exchange, a swap of placing a link on site A, which points to site B, and site B returns the favor. Artistopia's Music Resource Directory does not make this a requirement, but an exchange between two similarly themed web sites is a preferable exchange in the search engine optimization world.
