Q. What is the Artistopia Affiliate Program?

A. By using the Artistopia Affiliate Program (AAP), you are partnering with Artistopia to help indie and unsigned music artists to become members of the music community. With the use of placing a link to our outstanding music resource, the visitors using your link are tracked by the use of a cookie. When this visitor makes a purchase or takes an action (within a 45 day time period), you are then given a commission from that purchase or action.

Q. What’s in it for me, my Web site and my visitors? What are the benefits?

A. Easily earn commissions 24/7/365 is the quick answer, whether a paid registration takes place or a simple registration without activation. By partnering with Artistopia, your visiting indie and unsigned music artists, bands, singers and songwriters will benefit from becoming a part of the well-respected Artistopia community where artist development is our main goal in the business of music. Artistopia offers a free Indie Plan as well as a paid Pro Indie Plan membership. In that everyone loves free stuff, and the free Indie Plan has so many great tools for music artists, it's a win-win situation. Most affiliate programs that offer free products and services have higher conversion rates.

Q. How do I qualify?

A. Any site can apply for the Artistopia Affiliate Program, but Artistopia reserves the right to refuse any site. You do not have to have a music site, but you will need to have a fully functioning publicly accessible Web site (coming soon one pagers aren’t confidence builders for Web traffic visitors). We can not accept or approve sites that promote illegal activities, promote discrimination, promote violence, promote bulk Spam or email, are set up to gain discounts for personal use only, are “under construction” without a firm launch date (under 80% complete), or that violate any type of copyrights or intellectual rights.

We want our partners to be successful, if your site perhaps does not “fit” with what our target market is, we would not want you to waste your time. Take this under consideration when you sign up for AAP or any affiliate program across the Web.

Q. How much does it cost to participate?

A. There is no fee, none, zip, notta, a zero cost to you. The AAP is free to participate in.

Q. Do I need a download a software application to use AAP?

A. No software application is needed. Just register and use one or more of the banner or text links with your Affiliate code built into it and place it upon your Web site and other Web sites to start generating revenue.

Q. I am outside the US, can I be an affiliate?

A. Yes you can, but your payment options will be a bit different. Within the United States, affiliate partners have the option of receiving a bank check mailed to them or being paid via PayPal. Outside of the US, PayPal is the only designated form of payment.

Q. What skills do I need to have to be an Affiliate Partner?

A. The technical skills that a publisher needs to operate in the system is simply the knowledge of cutting and pasting the needed code in the correct format needed within the site or email you are using. The best placement will vary from site to site, but most commonly the text and/or banner image link should be above the fold on your site and easily viewable to the visitor.

Q. What are my responsibilities as a AAP business partner?

A. As an Artistopia Affiliate Program partner there are several items to be aware of so that we can provide the best service we possibly can for you.

You must provide and create accurate links to our site for properly tracking the memberships you generate.
Your contact and address information must be correct for your commissions to be mailed and paid out to you.
Your web site domain name needs to be accurately added to our database, and it is only to your benefit to have good Web site uptime.
You must ensure your domain does not contain material that is inappropriate to our Qualifications.

Q. Ok, this sounds great! How do I get started?

A. We are glad you wish to partner with Artistopia! First you must register via the Apply Now button on Affiliate Homepage. You will need to provide your site name and URL, company, name, address and of course the contact name and address so that we can send you your commissions! Many of these fields are required and must be filled out accurately so that everything flows smoothly. You will need to provide the PayPal or Bank Check option according to where you are – United States or International and will need a User Name and Password to access the Console.
