RESTRICTED (formerly Gate 13).
As a former member of two bands 'The Wish' (formerly Stagefright) and 'KIK' both based in Brighton England, he enjoyed local success by doing the pub & club scene on a regular basis. During the 80's 'The Wish' supported 'It Bites' who had the hit single 'calling all the heroes'. (Older fans may remember!)
By playing regular slots at 'The Richmond' in Brighton (now known as 'The Pressure Point') the band gathered quite a large local following and were well respected within the Brighton & also the nearby London area.
The band also played the world famous 'Zap' club on many occassions and packed it out every time!
Unfortunately and inevitably the band split due to unavoidable circumstances and the 4 boys went their seperate ways. They still keep in touch and there is a possibiltiy of getting together for a 'final fling'. Keep checking in on that one.
Greg stayed within the music scene and became singer of KIK after being recognised and approached at a local boozer within the city. They rehearsed hard and gigged for about a year but with a few too many in house fights, it fell apart and Greg went into songwriting as opposed to the gigging scene.
Greg now works under the name RESTRICTED.
Currently, Greg is writing ferociously about personal matters and people that have left a mark on his life. He has just completed his 2nd album 'born in a storm' and hopes people will take time out to listen and review his latest tracks. The whole album is here on Artistopia.
The 1st album 'promenade' is also featured here! (by popular demand....not)
(The Restricted was the band he and a few friends formed whilst at high school. The boys had limited funds, equipment and musical knowledge and the name has sentimental and real life values still to this day!
Greg has shortened it slightly to 'RESTRICTED'.

Artist Mission
Primarily to write a song that i would be proud, live life to the full and be a good father.
These days I have to make music my secondary field simply due to financial and family committments but i wish that it was not the case. I still write songs regularly and record them at my home studio when i get a convenient moment - its frustraing but thats the way it is.
I have played in bands and enjoyed every second. From playing infront of empty rooms to packed out Universities, they have all been memorable and moments i will always treasure.
I hope, by keeping my songwriter/music ambition alive, something may take me by surprise and lead me into something that i have longed to do....write songs and get paid for doing so! I have a talent and i want to use it.
