As a 9 year old Jeremy began his musical life on the drums. After graduating high school Jeremy picked up the guitar and never looked back. While attending Berklee College of Music, Jeremy was able to train with an all star cast of teachers such as Jim Kelly, Dave Fiuczynski, Richie Hart, Bruce Bartlett, Ken Pullig, and clinics with Pat Metheny, Wayne Krantz, Joe Satriani, John Mayer, and many others. Jeremy currently performs with 4 bands.
The Meta Accord is Jeremy's newly named original group. The Meta Accord can appear in groups as small as duos and up. The most common group is the Meta Quartet. This music ranges from Jazz/Rock Fusion to electronica.
Radio Nation is a high energy party band from Rochester, New York. The Music ranges from Lit to Stevie Wonder.
Nik and The Nice Guys is another high energy party band from Rochester, New York. The Music ranges from Frank Sinatra to Blink 182. Jeremy also performs with some of the off shoots of this group. They include Nik Lite, Shama Lama, and Nik Shagadelic.
Out Of The Blue is a small club band playing hippy music from the 60s and blues. Songs include Thrill Is Gone, The Letter, and I'm A Believer.
Jeremy performs nearly 3 times a week every week. Jeremy Laursen is also a featured teacher with the Sam Ash Music Institute. SAMI is an online guitar lesson site. Jeremy joined Artistopia to network with other musicians and achieve more of an internet presence.
Artist Mission
The mission is to unlock the music within me. Everyone has some music in them. It needs to come into the conscious mind and performed. It is at these moments that the musical flow becomes endless and new things are always discoverd.
