The dress reheasal of composer Laurie Conrad's Unsung #1, performed by a Cornell ensemble called Women's Works, will be taped for television and aired in September, 2005. Conrad's piece is scored for piano and string quintet, and the composer will be playing the piano part for the taping and concert. The piece was written in 1996, shortly after the premature death of Conrad's singer and friend Louise McConnell. Members of Women's Works will complete the ensemble.
