Dear Friends,
The EMBRACE 2007 "They Will Know It's Christmas " Soundtracks are now accessible on MySpace and Artistopia, with six songs available for download through the holiday season. Humanitarian relief workers, on the front lines in UN member countries, are encouraged to download and share the tracks as our gift of music for remote villages and operations centers, as they share about the EMBRACE 2007 Campaign.
The theme song "They Will Know It's Christmas" presents a new global reference point for advocacy initiatives. Instead of asking, "Do They Know It's Christmas?" we are setting forward the EMBRACE 2007 grassroots objective to Reach, Empower and Communicate to "Bridge Unmet Needs to Untapped Resources" so they will know it's the 2007 Christmas Holiday Season.
Humanitarian Resource Institute has advanced a mission focus "to bridge unmet needs to untapped resources" since 1994. On a daily basis, the Humanitarian University Consortium facilitates strategic planning, development and communications to the grass roots city council level in the United States to the decision making level in every UN member country.
The EMBRACE 2007 6.6 Billion Impact objective encompasses the goal to enhance grassroots real time communication capability. "The world cannot respond, if the world does not know." Citizen Journalism and reporting is the first step to global awareness and response, resources to spread the message include:
* Yahoo: You Witness News * YouTube Nonprofit Program * MySpace TV * MAP: Global Media Contact Information and Email Directory
Once educational materials and reports are compiled, Humanitarian Resource Institute and partnership organizations can engage the decision making level, humanitarian advocates and newspaper, radio and television networks across the globe. This historical moment represents our first step toward being a connected global community, that includes the needs of the most vulnerable populations.
Included in this compilation is the soundtrack "The Soldiers Tear" in recognition of the sacrifices made by U.S. and NATO troops, who are separated from their families this holiday season. Leaders in every UN member country are being called to embrace an objective of poverty alleviation as the world unites in prayer for humanitarian missions transitioning into the new functional role of the armed forces (U.S. Army Peacekeeping and Stability Operations Institute).
Warmest Wishes to you and your families during this holiday season.
