The American family on the grassroots level is facing one of the most challenging periods since being established as a nation.
Stephen Michael Apatow is know as America's community advocate (Tour de America), having conducted two national grassroots campaigns, a 6000 mile double continental crossing, in 60 days, through 270 cities in 1990 for substance abuse and 133 cities from Washington, DC to San Francisco, California in 1993. As a result of his meetings with citizens, workers and directors of frontline service programs and elected officials, the cross section of these needs facilitated the formation of Humanitarian Resource Institute in 1994.
