Be The Change One man (or woman) with courage makes a majority. -- Andrew Jackson
Tour de America encompassed two national volunteer projects to address substance abuse, hunger, homelessness and poverty. Grassroots programs were focused on one goal, to outline the unmet needs of front line service programs and serve as a bridge for volunteerism and contributions of professional time, talent, manpower, financial and inkind donations. The cross section of needs defined in hundreds of American cities, during three transcontinental crossings, led to the formation of Humanitarian Resource Institute in 1994.
Today, our advocacy work has expanded from the grassroots level in every United States county to 192 member states of the United Nations. We offer all of our resources in support of this historic movement.
..... for the sake of the vulnerable and those who have not the capacity to defend themselves.
