ARTISTS UNITED FOR CURES FUNDRAISER @ THE CUBBY BEAR
To Benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3Day Walk
Artists United For Cures (AUFC) is having their first fundraiser at The Cubby Bear located at 1059 W. Addison (across from Wrigley Field) in Chicago, IL. July 31, 2008 from 8:00PM-12:00AM. The proceeds will benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3Day Walk which takes place in Chicago August 8-10, 2008. Tammy Harris, the founder of AUFC, is a participant in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3Day Walk and a goal has been set to raise $10K for the cause. To purchase tickets and for a detailed list of acts participating please visit www.artistsunitedforcures.com. If you are not in Chicago, you can still support the cause by purchasing a live web broadcast ticket for only $5 to view the concert via the internet.
Artists United For Cures is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to raise money to aid in the research, treatment, and cure development for many societal ailments. In addition, the organization’s purpose is to provide vouchers and financial assistance to the non-insured and under-insured so that they are not denied the medicine and treatment needed to ensure their recovery. All artists participating are donating their time and talent so that all proceeds can be donated directly to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
