Artist Biography

The Don is an artist, songwriter, and producer whose music covers R&B, Pop, and Hip-Hop. His music is a combination of soulful ballets mix with an unstoppable lineup of hard hitting in the club instant hits. The Don has a powerhouse true tenor voice and as his musical genres are wide so are his musical talents. He writes, produces and arranges all of his music. Boyz 11 Men and R. Kelly influence his style.

The Don (age 22) began singing at the age of 11 when he first found his love for music at Cab Calloway School of the Arts, Where he majored in music and minored in theater for seven years. When the opportunity presented itself, The Don joined 3 other young men to create the group Dogstar. With The Don as the lead singer Dogstar became well known throughout the tri-state area. They released 2 albums locally selling over 6,000copies. When Dogstar disbanded, The Don went solo, releasing a three song EP that sold over 5,000 copies locally. The Don has performed, with the help of local college & club promoters, as an opening act for established artist such as BEENI SEIGAL, YOUNG GUNZ, PEDDIE CRACK, E-NESS, KANYE WEST, CIARRA, MARRIO, WAYNE WONDER, CARL THOMAS, DIP-SET, ANTHONY HAMILTON AND MONICA. His reputation extend though the community and into his local political system as well, allowing him the opportunity to kick his cities July 4th celebration opening up for legendary acts (Spinners and Delfonics) in front of 42,000 people. The Don recently won a songwriting competition held by Nextlevel Magazine and landed a publishing deal with Play Any Key Publishing, and has one song currently placed.
