AbSynthe is a collision of heavy metal melody and hypnotic electronic resulting in a new form of gothic industrial rock. Combined with dark, occult imagery, AbSynthe brings to the scene a little something for everyone, attracting the fans from different genres of music.
The band breaks the fourth wall with vocalists, musicians, and even going into the crowd during a performance. The band hit the club scene in Spring of 2003, quickly gaining the attention of other local bands and landing an opening spot on the Demon Machine Tour in their hometown four months later. Since then, AbSynthe played host to Underground Inc.’s top bands, such as Bile, by booking and performing with them.
Within two years, the band had recorded two five-song EP’s and started a series of annual local events. During the summer of 2005, AbSynthe toured with Human Factors Lab and Lunatic Candy Kreep on the Strategies for Tragedy Tour and then performed in September at Gothstock 2005 in Hartford, Ct with the Genitorturers, Cruxshadows, Belle Morte, Still Life Decay, Carfax Abbey, and many others.
AbSynthe has just finished recording their upcoming full-length album "DEMONstration" (to be released Feb. 26th, 2006).
