Originally an acoustic duo from Arundel, in summer of 2005 they recruited Justin as AKA’s guitarist. Shortly after, Brighton Institute of Modern Music students Vicky and Hannah joined to form The AKA Band. The band line up is Kym Allen – Vocals, Neil Caws – Guitar/vocals, Justin Potter – Guitar, Vicky Smith – Bass, Hannah Smith – Drums. They regularly gig in London and around the South East performing their original material.
Artist Mission
The AKA band are currently wowing audiences throughout Britain with their direct, catchy and melodic songs. With a line up of 3 girls and 2 guys, not only do they have the look, they are also highly accomplished musicians. They have already been targeted by major record labels both in England and the United States. The songwriting skills of Caws/Allen/BA, and the strong vocal talents of Allen, could quite easily be developed into the biggest band to come out of England in years!
