Alacranes Musical (English: "Musical Scorpions") is a Mexican-American band produced by Oscar Urbina that plays duranguense music. They are from the Aurora suburb of Chicago, Illinois. The band has released several albums since its formation in November 1996, and in 2007 was nominated for a [[Latin Grammy]] for their album, ''Ahora Y Siempre''. Their hits "Si Yo Fuera Tu Amor" and "Por Tu Amor" reached #2 and #4, respectively, on Billboard's [[Billboard charts|Latin Regional Mexican Airplay]] chart. Recently, their new single "Por Amarte Así," a cover of the [[Cristian Castro]] song, has topped the Billboard Charts at number one for several weeks in a row. According to Billboard, "Por Amarte Así" has also been the number one downloaded ringtone. "Por Amarte Asi" was featured in an episode of a Mexican [[telenovela]], "Al Diablo Con Los Guapos." Alacranes Musical were nominated for the [[51st Grammy Awards|51st American Grammys]] in the category Best Banda Album for their song, "Tu Inspiracion".
