Gospel artist Craig Amaker, ministering songs that glorify Jesus Christ! Songs with a message of hope and peace.With a style uniquely his own, but blended with styles of gospel greats of today and yesterday.
I discovered this talent at a young elementary school age playing the trumpet. Continued through all my years of school progressing to theory and music composition. focused primarily on concert band arrangements, some jazz..you know, school stuff. Upon graduating, went on to perform in various local bands in and around New Haven, CT, going from playing trumpet, to doing back up vocals and some lead. During this time I moved on to full music production. Learned and became experienced with electronic music production, sequencing, beat machines and recording.
Performed at New Haven's GospelFest 2001-2001. Teen Challenge's Youth Explosion 2002-2003. Nominated best male vocalist at the Connecticut Gospel Music Awards, taking the 3rd place honor. Performed at the Foxwoods Resort and Casino at the Urban Impact Summitts' live taping of Dr. Bobbry Joness' Gospel music hour in 2005. Video aired nationally. Participant in the Daywind Gospel Music Competition 2005. Selected as semi-finalist. Guest appearances on many local and some national radio stations for airplay and interviews. Released 1st cd as independent in 2002 titled "Count It All Joy". Went on to release 2nd cd "By His Spirit" which hit radio stations around the US and on the internet. Gathered some on-air interviews and some "hot rotations". 3rd cd project slated for Aug 2008 release titled "We Lift" is the long awaited, finally made it cd released for RaznPraz Music on ReKama Records.
I serve at Cornerstone Christian Center in Milford, CT alongside Pastor Alfred D Watts as a deacon on the leadership team. I'm also a lead praise and worship singer and a member of the adult choir.
