| Amy has made it through to the Grand final of the south coast idol competition at Portsmouth Guildhall on Saturday 27th May. It is the biggest singing competition in the UK outside the 'X-Factor', and after making her way through from 5,000 entrants Amy will be given her opportunity to compete against the other final contestants to try and become the winner of south coast idol, 2006. For the winner, a whirlwind of appearances as they will be thrust into the spotlight of local media through television, radio and the local press.The winner will then be developed as an artist, producing and releasing an album worth in excess of £20,000.There will also be appearances and performances from X-Factor winner Steve Brookstein along with the X-Factor finalists and Nicholas Dorsett plus Rik Waller and Jane McDonald who will be comparing the night.
