Leaving her eastern roots behind, she headed for San Francisco, where in addition to fronting various underground bands, she pursued studies in Middle Eastern,Turkish,14th century Ladino music, and opera, combining her flair for improvisation with contemporary genres like pop and rock. With a three octave range and a chameleon like fluidity,from song to song her style and tone can change from that of a hard hitting diva, to a dramatic soprano, to a purity reminiscent of a choir boy.
