Artist Biography

It all started on Christmas day 1973 in Princess Mary's Hospital, Newcastle Upon Tyne. The Nurse slapped a mother for giving birth to an ugly baby, it wouldn't have normally have caused such a fuss but an extremely high standard had been set by Mrs Hall earlier that afternoon.

The youngest of six is a good place to learn the resilience necessary to survive in the music industry (or as they say round here - I've got skin thicker than a rhino's arse).

Being a child of the eighties I had little choice but to be influenced by electronic music even though I had already developed a diverse musical taste. An interest in alternative music arose towards the end of my academic career when I was introduced to Hip hop and Electro.

At the tender age of 17 I became a regular in the club and rave scene around the North-East. As a result I started experimenting on my Atari ST "in da House" (pardon the pun) and very soon I was hooked. The results invariably were somewhere between tubular bells and a chimpanzee playing a Bontempi organ (some might say not much has changed)

I soon enrolled at Newcastle College were I first completed a Performing Arts course followed by a Diploma and Higher National Diploma in Music Technology. This is where I first met Paul Hurst and we began to make sweet music together (in a purely plutonic way).

Paul and myself still work together whenever possible but family and work commitment mean this is never as often as either of us would like. We are planning more projects in the future, hopefully including some gigs.
