Beginnings
Jamie Tinkler was born in Linthorpe in 1981. He had already applied in 2003 to Pop Idol (series 2)|series 2 of Pop Idol and had reached the qualifying semi-finals but had not made it to the Final 12. Jamie Tinkler became instead a member of the band Pop! composed of Glenn Ball, Hannah Lewis, and Jade McGuire in addition to Tinkler. 2007-2009: After X Factor
After disqualification from X Factor competition, Avenue were signed by Crown Music Management and won an album deal with Island Records. Their follow up single was going to be "Can You Feel It? ", but a commercial release was cancelled and it was distributed free on music service 7digital .
