Atlanta, GA—April 25, 2006-- He's not here to cool blues fans down, but to stir the fire in each soul and to reawaken the blues in each heart. All the way from Anchorage Alaska this 6 foot 7 dream hunk is ready after 30 years of trucking and long roads to settle down in the Atlanta Metropolitan area and expand his blues talents. Big Robert T has been selected to perform at this year’s Sweet Auburn Springfest 2006, the largest street festival in the southeast. Big Robert T and his band, the Scene of the Crime Band, will perform on Sunday, May 14, 2006 at 3:00 pm on the V103 Dobbs Plaza World Stage. This opportunity is both an honor and a privilege for this blues vocalist extraordinaire.
Big Robert T and The Scene of the Crime band were selected to compete in the Atlanta Blues Challenge in November, 2005. After winning the local competition, they advanced to the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee this past January. Both competitions required bands to perform original works. After competing at this level Big Robert T and the Scene of the Crime band ranked in the Top 10 rating them one of the best Blues Bands in the world.
Big Robert T formed his band shortly after arriving in Atlanta. The band is very versatile in their music, which is a major contributor to their overall success in such a short period of time. With over 300 years of experience among them, they are a very fine tuned group of musicians that take blues, jazz and funk to another level; a dynamic performance guaranteed to bring any audience to their feet. Big Robert T and the Scene of the Crime Band are received with great enthusiasm by diverse audiences. Big Robert T’s motto is simple and sincere…“THE BLUES IS TRUTH!!!”
