The band was formed in 1993 by Billy Campion, Bill Ryan, Brendan Ryan, Mark Wike, P.J. O'Connor and Clive Tucker. Though they were signed by major label Arista Records in 1995, they fell just short of mainstream success. Despite breaking up in 1999, they have reunited several times in order to raise money for charity, and have produced a DVD. Most recently, in January 2010 they announced on their official website that they were recording a new EP.
Life Begins at 40 Million
Produced by Jerry Harrison of the Talking Heads , Life Begins at 40 Million was by far the more commercially successful of the two Bogmen albums. The most successful single off their album, Suddenly was featured on MTV. It remains their most popular song on iTunes http://www.apple.com/itunes/store/.

Deviating from the sound on their previous album, the Bogmen created Closed Captioned Radio, the album that ultimately got them dropped from their label. Produced by Bill Laswell , CCR is a decadent tongue-in-cheek romp.

It Tastes Just Like It Smells
It Tastes Just Like It Smells is a documentary detailing the origins of the Bogmen created by photographer/videographer Chris Cassidy (who has also directed many of former band-member Vic Thrill 's videos) and B.A. Miale, a video artist who currently VJ's Vic Thrill's live shows.
