A heartbroken Bohannon broke out in song tonight in a retort to longtime girlfriend, Donna Gatageau, who unceremoniously dumped the local pop star and left him in a troubled state.
“My dog even turned on me,” Bohannon said, in a darkened apartment. Outside the jeers of kids could be heard. “Na-Na, Na-Na, Na, Na, nadala, Na-Na!”
Bohannon cringed. “Ruthless,” was all he said.
On the floor splay a blind, some ketchup and an egg.
I asked him, how do you survive in here? “I have Jim,” he said, “like a Beam of light, he lights my space where light needs to be lighted...”
He trailed off. The kids still mocked him from the street. There was no rain. He hadn't swept for weeks. His dog went back to the kitchen. Bohannon watched.
“It's brutal out there,” he said. “Freaky brutal.”
He wrote a song. It's on the Road Trip album. Donna. You'll get it. Please listen! Bear with me! She left me!! I love you guys!
