I saw Bohannon saturday night – outside the kitty kat klub in south st. paul. He was standing by the stage door talking to three women. He didn't look bad – like he may have been actually eating right. The women were nothing spectacular, which made him look a little better.
I called out, “Bohannon!” And he looked up. “Pernes Tounia?” he asked, as if we had just ran into one another in stall three of the gold concourse bathroom three floors deep in the great behemoth that is the Bombay airport.
“Huh?” you said.
“You're an ass.”
“Huh?”
“You couldn't write the truth about the lunch you had today.”
“It wasn't a great song.” ..his last outing.
“It was a DAMN GOOD song!”
“Yeah, but what have you done for me lately?”
Bohannon looked at me, like a monkey looks at another monkey that slips from some human-made fake-ass tree – losing his grip.
“'Everything You Do' It's brand new,” he said. That was it. He was confident. That's why he didn't look like such a dumbass today. He finally had a new song. After like waaaay too long. The lazy ass finally pulls through with one. And he was right. It was there. The song was good. It pains me to say it.
Check out the new song by Bohannon, entitled “Everything You Do” at Artistopia.com. It appears to belong to the Donna Dumped Me EP. We'll see.
