It's not too bad, but I've heard better Submitted on: 2009-08-12 |

| To me Freddie Scott comes off sounding like a cross between Brook Benton, and Tom Jones. His vocal range is pretty good, but the music is slow and dreary. I've heard better sounds on a rainy day. I feel that the material is decent, but I would like to hear much more livlier music to go with it; I mean case in point on "I've Got A Woman" I'm used to hearing it done in a fast-gospel stomp almost thrashing myself to the tone; here it's pretty-laced, and slow dancing I don't know whether to applaud the transistion of beat, or put my hands over my ears. The second song is good I cannot lie, but then it goes into a little bit of a slide that doesn't make up for it until song number 5 where he comes off sounding like Brook Benton. "Hey Girl" is by far the worst song on here I just don't like it. I mean Scott's vocals are good on it, but I just don't like the music, or the female back-up singers on this track. The rest is just there, but I will say there's no bad version of "On Broadway". The title of this album is "Freddie Scott Sings and Sings snd Sings, but he needs to work on the music end of things. Perhaps he's not a powerhouse vocalist perhaps he never tried, but I wouldn't say this was a complete, and total waste of time, but I've heard better. |

Freddie Scott Sings Submitted on: 2008-08-02 |

| With all due respect to the late Mr. Scott, the "Collectables Record Corp." did a, somewhat, fair job of re-recording his signature songs of "Hey Girl & I Got A Women"! His Hey Girl track lacks the dynamic sound quality that I remember the first time I heard it on my parent's AM radio back in 1963! In my opinion, all the songs need to be "digitally remastered" to bring out the great voice of "Freddie Scott"! |

Great CD! Submitted on: 2008-04-24 |

| I purchased the CD for "Hey Girl", one of my favorites. However, there's some really good stuff on here. If you like songs from the early to mid 60s, I think you'll be pleased with this Freddie Scott CD. |
