| Ferlin Husky produced a small number of crossover Country to Rock hits. Among them, Gone is an exceptional Roots-Rock ballad. But the rest of the album is pretty mediocre Country. So if you want easy access to Gone and a couple other Ferlin Husky hits, buy the CD. If you want an album that you can sit back and enjoy all the way through, this isn't the one for you. |

| This is a very old CD. The reason I bought it is because of my favorite song from my childhood - Wings of a Dove. Somebody needs to remake this song. |

| Ferlin Husky. What a name. What a voice. I had fallen hard in love for the first time and had just broken up for the first time. "Gone" was popular. At 16 I knew it had to have been written just for me. I hadn't heard it or thought of it for years. Hearing it, I'm 16 again and my heart is broken again (snif). For me, there's no other song quite like it. The rest of the album is wonderful too, but "Gone" - Damn! Give me a Kleenex will ya? |
