Song of the Irish Whistle or Song of the Irish Whistle Vol. 2 Submitted on: 2009-09-05 |

Joanie Madden is great and does a wonderful job. The CD is great! The supplier did a prompt job on sending. But, I ordered Volume 2, in that I already had Vol. 1.
The instructions from Amazon were not clear and Volume 1, not Volume 2 was shipped.
This was a communications and not a supplier problem. |

Relaxing CD Submitted on: 2009-01-18 |

| I bought this CD after having heard one of the selections in an e-mail which was set to photos of Ireland. Most nights I fall asleep to this CD as it is so relaxing. Even if you are not "into" Irish music, I'm sure you will love this CD. |

Simply Fantastic Submitted on: 2008-08-23 |

| This is music to listen to in the evening by a fire with a wee dram at your side. It is a part of a great family of music that stems from the wonderful Cherish The Ladies and will not disappoint. Joanie Madden is quite simply a master and you will enjoy. You might also check out her great band Cherish The Ladies and some of her band members such as Cathie Ryan, whose voice matches Joanie's whistle. |

An absolute treasure Submitted on: 2008-03-17 |

| Joanie Madden's "Song of the Irish Whistle" is one of my very favorite cds of all time. Very much like the Irish themselves, the music is sometimes mournful, sometimes joyful, sometimes thoughtful and sometimes prayerful. Madden's playing is a treasure to listen to and absolutely beautiful. If I'm not mistaken, an Irish tin whistle is a very small and inexpensive musical instrument, but the sounds that Joanie Madden creates on this cd are pure gold. Anyone who loves Irish music of any stripe will be enthralled with this recording; the tunes it contains, in the hands of a master musician like Madden, are just gorgeous! I'm fairly convinced that it would not be possible to dislike this fine compact disc. It nobly evokes images of a grand and peaceful place, the Ireland of our dreams. Highly recommended to anyone who appreciates splendid music making! |

| This really is exquisite. Each tune is beautifully played and there is enough variety in the CD to keep it interesting and to satisfy virtually any listener. |
