 But it's Still Robert Forster

| If you are a Robert Forster or Go-Betweens fan, I'm sure you already have this cd. After all, how could you not? And you can stop reading now. This work over produced as it is is not Robert's best work - there are for instance other better versions of Rock and Roll Friend. However, if you 've never heard of the Go-Betweens or Robert Forster, you may start here, enjoy it, and you will enjoy it, and then buy Liberty Bell and the Black Diamond Express by the Go-Betweens and you will be hooked. The Go-Betweens may not be an easy habit to break, but then so what? I originally rated this at 3 stars, but after listening to this again and again, I thought that although, compared to Robert Forster's other solo work and other work with the Go-Betweens, this is not his best, it is still better than most other cds out there and deserves at least 5 stars. |
