The Infamous Rhinestone Cowboy Writes Again... Submitted on: 2009-11-11 |

I really like this CD containing 2 DAC records; Longhaired Redneck and Rides Again. I've listened to it over and over since I bought it and I never skip a track. What an under-rated and under-appreciated songwriter/singer/performer. I suppose he didn't help himself any with the release of those now infamous x-rated albums, but those only account for about 1% of his output, what a shame that that's all most people remember him for.
Literally every song on this CD is good, no skipping required. It has the hits Longhaired Redneck, Willie, Wayon and Me, If That Ain't Country and some others that should've been...like the rest of them!
This release from Bear Family Records is a real gem, containing 2 records in their entirity, a thick booklet with color photos including photos of the original album artwork, all the lyris to every song and a 7 page introducton. The sound quality is flawless. |
