The best band in the universe Submitted on: 2009-09-05 |

| The Quiet Riot 3 cd I think shows that Quiet Riot is very versitile as a band.(means that they could play more than one style of rock and roll). This cd should have boosted the band to number one on the billboard charts.but, leave it to the music delagates from the record company, and the music critics, and the one track minded fans that left and took motley crues side because,Kevin Dubrow trashed them,That is why the cd tanked.I totally agree what Kevin Dubrow said about motley crue THEY SUCK BIG TIME!!!!!!I acould not agree with him more.Everybody in the music business helped motley crue and no one helped Quiet Riot Probably because, the music business hates italians and mexicans and the guys in Quiet Riot were italians and mexicans. The press was out to get Kevin Dubrow and Quiet Riot from the beginning. How come Carlos Cavazo(the guitar player) was not featured as the cover story in guitar world?reason?because he was mexican,And why wasn t Frankie Banali featured on the cover of modern Drummer magazine as the cover story?because,he was italian. The music business is filled with rich, fat, chain smoking redneck white supremists.I would of punched out spencer proffer(their producer) because,I know he had something to do with the destruction of Quiet riot.So FU all of you music critics,FU,all of you managers,FU all of you agents, and FU all of you fans that went to favor motley crue all of you are desposible chapters in a bands career.Quiet Riot was better offf with out you people. |

Too slick and poppy! Submitted on: 2006-08-11 |
|
| Let's face it, Quiet Riot didn't make great albums, but they sure did have some good headbanging tunes on their first two albums. For their third release, they decided to crank up the keyboards and go for a much poppier sound. Now I guess that would be okay if the songs were catchy, but they mostly aren't. I do like "The Wild And The Young" even though it is much too slick and overproduced. I also enjoy "Put Up Or Shut Up" as a good, dumb rocker. But that's it. The rest of this disc is quite forgettable. |

The best QR album Submitted on: 2005-06-26 |

I'm probably in the minority here, but I really think QRIII is the best album this band ever did (Metal Health is a close 2nd, though). It's also their most "pop metal" album, featuring more keyboards and de-emphasizing the guitar a little bit.
The whole first half of this disc is incredible, especially "The Wild & the Young," & "Twilight Hotel." Chuck Wright's bass solo "Bass Case" is pretty cool, as well. If you like QR, you probably already have this, but if you're new to the group, this is a great album to add to the collection. |

Quiet Riot falls out of the limelight. Submitted on: 2004-12-18 |

I remember when MTV had "The WIld and The Young" in heavy rotation. I was a good catchy anthem. True it was difficult watching Kevin DuBrow wearing that oversized poodle wig without cracking up. The man with no hairline for the last two albums now had Bon Jovi hair times 10!
The album has a couple good songs here and there like maybe "Put it up or shut it up." But this album has a lot to much synth and pop polish for my taste.
There must have been a misgiving with Kevin 'The Mouth' DuBrow because after this album he was tempoarily replaced for the next album 'Quiet Riot'. I heard he had been bad mouthing the prodcuer behind his back when the guy was actually standing behind HIS back!! HA ha, only in Rock n Roll. |
