HER BEST SONG EVER! Submitted on: 2002-10-21 |

| Admit it. At one time or another, you said the same thign as she does in this song about someone you saw or knew. "Damn, I Wish I Was Your Lover." Let Sophie sing it for you, baby. She knows. She has no qualms about who she's singing to, too! In the bridge, she'll tell you. She wasn't to make love to HER! Oh yeah. Out and proud. That's where the passion come sout--the truth! Why lie like many other artists. Just come out and say it. She wants to make love to her! Women singing to women have always been the most passionate songs. Think about Melissa Etheridge and k.d. lang. Such passion oozes out of their music. Sophie is no exception. This song it da bomb! |

Michelle Branch step aside... Submitted on: 2002-10-10 |

| Let this girl tell you how it's done. Ladies and Gentleman, I present to you: Sophie B Hawkins, a folk/rock/pop star of the mid 90's. Her other big hit was "As I Lay Me Down" but not as good in my opinion. You guys HAVE to check this single out, espcially Michelle Branch. As she is a good rock artist she needs a few lessons from this girl here. Great guitars AND singing quality! Miss Branch seems to have a vocal problem when it comes to finishing words (ie: "you-a" and "to-a"). And remember that looong note after the "bridge"? Yeah this girl is all that and it's a shame she was a two-timer hit. Final Grade A+ |
