Best thrash album ever Submitted on: 2008-08-02 |

The title says it all.
Not the greatest production, but the albums content more than makes up for it. Thhe songs are well written, fast and aggressive yet melodic and energetic, excellent guitar work between Eric Peterson and Alex Skolnick and solos to raise demons from the abyss.

Metal Classic Submitted on: 2008-04-11 |

This is a metal classic that still sounds fresh today. Saw these guys recently and they are even better now. Can't wait for the new CD to come out....8+ years is along time to wait!!! Skinlab have a new live cd coming out the end of April, and my buddy had an advance copy...the most brutal live recording you have ever heard, so pick that up too!

Awesomeness!!! Submitted on: 2008-01-10 |

| testament debut album was something that really stand out not only for themselves but in thrash metal scene, the band was formed 5-6 years before this album was released no wonder you can clearly notice the complexity of each songs, its really outstanding compare to debut album of let say... exodus, slayer & anthrax. it has everything, th speed, great riff and great melody both on guitar and vocal. There's only 1 or 2 weak tracks on this album. Just listen to burnt offerings, over the wall, apocalyptic city and first strike still deadly or perhaps the most melodic tune alone in the dark. Testament is up there with megadeth, slayer, metallica, anthrax & exodus as the big 5! |

Underrated Classic Thrash Submitted on: 2007-03-21 |

| Testament often tends to get lost in the shuffle. In the midst of Slayer and Megadeth and early Metallica, it is not difficult to understand why. The Legacy is a great classic thrash album that can be easily overlooked but should not be. Fans of old school thrash will definitely love this album. Great guitar work, great vocals, and breakneck speed are everywhere in this album. The Legacy is an absolutely excellent thrash album and should not be overlooked by fans of thrash. It rocks. |

Testament Legacy! Submitted on: 2006-05-28 |

| I love Thrash Metal, and Testament has to be one of the greatest bands in thrash along with Metallica, Slayer, and Megadeth. Chuck Billy's vocals kind of remind me of James Hetfield but with a more higher pitch, I dunno that's how I heard it. But this album is a thrash classic - enough said. |
