Glory be to Sabbath Submitted on: 2009-10-25 |

| The sophmore album by Black Sabbath, perhaps deemed by all metal heads as a timeless head banging masterpiece. Throughout the Ozzy years with Sabbath, no album epitemizes the band more than this record. Although many think War Pigs posseses political overtones, rest assured, the words were changed at the request of the record label because of the true gloomy nature of the lyrics, listen to the true version of this song on Ozzy's "The Ozz Man Cometh". Paranoid, the riffs, the sound, the music often imitated, never duplicated, Sabbath's anthom if you will. Rat Salad, a true unappreicated work of musical genious, Bill Ward on the drums-WOW. Planet Caravan, a haunting melody, with grizzly overtones, Sabbath at their best. In the annals of metal, few if any, will ever stack up to this album, and history will continue to truely designate Black Sabbath as the "Fathers of Heavy Metal" Hail to the Sabb's and their legion of fans...Never Stop Rockin! |

Black Sabbath Paranoid Cassette Tape. Submitted on: 2009-07-20 |

| I remember this as my first and only Sabbath Album, Not growing up back then but now, and Finding this tape in a record store, which I since sadly have lost! Thought it was and is a Good Contribution to Rock N Roll before all the Horrible Rock and Horrible Music came on the scene and before Ozzy turned into a goof and a sellout. Favorite track Paranoid and Iron Man, The Boys from Birmingham were not the Best but were sure good at it. Nothing like the Original. |

One more perfect album. Submitted on: 2009-05-20 |

| After so many years, some of the songs on this album seem really played out due to the fact that radio ruined them by playing them so much. Ah, such is the case with all music and how radio sees it, I guess. While I think the debut albums is a bit better, "Paranoid" still is almost perfect in my opinion. How a band can be this dark and heavy, yet still manage melody thourghout the music and vocals is beyond me. My favorite track off this album is not heavy at all, it's "Planet Caravan". The spaced out music and the echo-filled vocals are total bliss, making me want to drift off into dreamworld every time I hear it. |

An Awesome Classic Submitted on: 2009-05-18 |

Paranoid by Black Sabbath, while not quite being the best the band had to offer was the album that struck hardest commercially and for a good reason too.
There are some great songs on here. The songs Iron Man, Paranoid, and War Pigs, which are the most popular on this album are great and all have catchy riffs and great vocals. The songs Hand of Doom, Electric Funeral, and Jack the Stripper are great too, but I feel like I can't listen to them as many times as the first three I mentioned. Rat Salad is not a standout track; it is an instrumental which is too short and doesn't vary enough from the rest of the album. My favorite song on this would have to be Planet Caravan; it is different from the other songs but will grow on you quickly to the point you like it more than the others.
Overall, this a great album and is a must for any hard rock or metal fans. |
