The peak of 90's R&B Submitted on: 2009-11-07 |

There are three tracks on this album that will become apart of you once you listen to them(literally). "can we talk" "Im ready" and "always n my heart."
What makes this album incredible is its focus on emotional content over image. These songs are designed to make you drift away with a smile and doesn't concern itself with having to give off a certain hip image or an uncouth raunchiness that plagues R&B of today.
IT captures that young joy in our hearts that never really goes away.
Please, do yourself a favor and buy this album. |

A must have Submitted on: 2009-03-13 |

| If you're a fan of Tevin Campbell, or just RnB, this is a must have for any music collection. Takes you back to the great sounds of the nineties when songs had more to them that simply just grinding. The tracks varies from simply romance, "I'm Ready" to political with one of my favourite, "Uncle Sam". I'm simply just loving it and inspired to get all my favourite nineties tracks- 3T, Babyface! and of course MILLI VANILLI :-) |

TEVIN CAMPBELL Submitted on: 2008-06-20 |

| As you already know that Tevin Campbell is one of the best male artists in the business. Most of the people in the music business now are just entertainers and are not true artists. I love all of Tevin's CDs, and "I'm Ready" does not have one single bad song. This CD also has a variety of producers and songwriters; Prince, Quincy Jones, Al B, Babyface, Narada Michael Walden, and maybe some others, but it is all so well put together and everything just really connects. There are also a variety of or different types of songs and of course, Tevin delivers with such great energy as he always does. He is such an excellent singer, I could and sometimes I do listen to him all day and everyday. Some of his songs are timeless. His voice is so well trained you really don't get tired of listening to him. As always Tevin sings from his heart and soul and has a great sound. This CD is a great buy. I give it "5" stars and/or A+. You won't be disappointed! |

Maturity beyond his years Submitted on: 2007-11-01 |
|
| There is some dispute over Tevin Campbell's age. Some sources claim that he was born in 1978, others say 1976, but one thing that is certain is that he was no older than 16 when he made this album, and from listening to it, it's hard to believe that he was even that young when he made it. His soulfulness shines brightly on the hits "Can We Talk", "Always In My Heart", and the title track, which all have brilliantly grown-up-sounding production that well compliments his mature singing skills. |
