Paula Cole's "This Fire" is a masterpiece. Her words and beautiful voice stir emotions. Love, sex, sadness, and hope. They are all there.
After listening to this album over more than a decade, it's clear that Paula's second album will remain a favorite of mine forever. |

| Paula Cole takes you on a journey with "This Fire". Every song is brilliant in it's own way. I like the mix of styles putting you in one mood to the next. I recently started listening to all of the lyrics more intensly rather than just zoning out to the music. Her lyrics are insightful and bordering on strange at times. I love the song "Throwing Stones", if you have ever been in an abusive relationship this song can really hit home, no pun intended. I also love "Feelin' Love", it's the sexiest song ever and the lyrics are intense. "This Fire" is classic, even the cover art is fantastic. I hope paula comes out with another bitter soul album, I like her edgier stuff when she be cussin' and stuff. |

| I really liked the song "Feelin' Love", first time I heard this song was on the DVD Stages by Britney Spears, where she sung this beautiful song while was doind her make-up. It's perfect! I wonder Britney do a cover of this song on her next album. |

Very good female vocalist Submitted on: 2008-01-30 |

Paula has a great voice but I think she's doin' too much with it.
I discover this lady, like many other, at the Peter Gabriel concert in 1991 (I believe). She has a beautiful voice, there is no doubt about it but sometimes, too much is not better than not enough. Paula has a superb voice range but I think it would sound better without being always at the extreme limit of it on every word she sang. |
