| I'm glad they are rereleasing this disk (it originally came out in 1993). "Measure" begins with "Measure's got a brand new life/we'll see who sticks it out this time". It's kind of a cool song to have in your head, pushing you to try something new and to stick with it. Overall, Seaweed and especially this CD are one of the best punk/pop bands out there and have been since before punk was "cool" according to the record exec's and radio stations. "Taxing" is a great commentary on how anything you do, someone will find a way to charge you for it. "Baggage" is a reference to all the BS that people bring into relationships from their previous ones. Overall, it is a great social commentary delivered in driving punk beats from one of the best bands out there. (If you're thinking "If they're so good, Why haven't I heard of them before?," It's because they'd rather play good music, play nintindo, and hang out with their girlfriends than promote themselves thru means other than constant touring with shows under $5. If you get a chance, don't miss checking out their music, especially live. |
