"Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars" Review Submitted on: 2009-11-16 |

| 4th Disciple and RZA (to no suprise) laid it down with the instrumentals at a level that warrants overhwelming praise. As dope as the beats were, I'm extremley hesitant to label this work as a classic album. The main reason being, the lyrical perfomance was absolutlley gastly. Every memeber, with the exception of Killa Sin, exzhibited sloppy flow and weak delivery throughout the entire album...I mean every song! Killa Sin is the only emcee out of Killarmy that I can tolerate and appreciate. I want to call the rhymes themselves sub-par, but the flows were so off that I could never even focus on what they're saying. It's as if they deliberatly flowed off beat. To put it simply, every beat was sick and all of the verses (once again, except Killa Sin's) were terrible. It's really a shame because I often find myself wanting to listen to one of the beats that 4th and RZA, for reasons I'll never understand, so generously bestwoed upon the Killarmy emcees in 1997, but I can't bring myself to press play on my ipod because the flows, to put it bluntly, ruin the song. As irritated and dissapointed as I am by Dom Pachino, Shogun and the rest of the emcees (except you know who) I still recommend peeping this album. It's still dope and I would call it a must buy, but the instrumentals were trashed. That's the only reason I haven't bought it. The best way to gauge the quality of this album is to go listen to it. So do that and pass your own judgement. |

| THIS ALBUM HAD ME IMPRESSED, THERE IS A LOT OF GOOD TRACKS ON HERE, EVEN THOUGH THE LYRICS COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER. KILLA SIN CAN RIP THE MIC, EVEN PR TERRORIST IS GOOD, BUT THE REST OF THEM ARE KINDA AMATEUR TO SAY THE LEAST. THE BEATS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES, THEY WERE ON POINT, DECENT PRODUCTION ALSO. BLOOD FOR BLOOD WAS A GOOD TRACK, 5 STAR GENERAL WAS ALSO GOOD, THERE WAS A ALOT MEMORABLE CUTS ON THIS ONE. THEIR NEXT 2 ALBUMS KIND OF SUCKED THOUGH, SO IF YOU ARE GONNA BUY ANYTHING BY THIS GROUP THAN THIS IS THE ALBUM TO GO WITH. |

One of the best Wu albums of all time Submitted on: 2008-02-12 |

| Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars is one of the best east coast hip hop albums of all time. If this album is too hard or rugged for you then you simply don't like hip hop. Rugged beats and hard rhymes is the recipe for this fantastic album. |

Killarmy - Silent Weapons For Quiet Wars Submitted on: 2006-08-31 |

Killarmy's first album, that came out in 1997. This is probably theyre best album in quite a few ways, lyrics AND production. But let me explain.
In lyrics, Killarmy is DOPE. They never dissapoint me with the lyrics they drop at all. Each member from Killarmy is unique in the way they write/rhyme and drop it. If you like lyrics in hip-hop, dont pass this album up. I cant really pick a song where they stand out lyrically, because they do in all of them!
Production, straight dope. All Wu related production also, which is a good thing. This album is grimey also. Fans of that type of hiphop should love this album for sure. My favorite beat on the album is probably, "Wake Up". Dope song.
Overall, if your a Wu fan, youll like this album, well you should! But its the first cd from Killarmy as a group, so make sure to get this one first! You wont be dissapointed!
My Top 5 Songs
1.Dress To Kill
2.Universal Soilders
3.Wake Up
4.Wu-Renegades
5.Full Moon |

What HipHop should be. Submitted on: 2005-10-03 |

| This is a really great ablum from a classic era of hiphop, the focus is all on creating the brutal evocative soundscapes. Combat Rap. I've listened to this album at least once a week since the day I got it over ten years ago. But then again I care about hiphop. |
