| To malign this CD and to say the coldcut track is the only good thing about it shows a complete lack of musical taste. Personally, I skip the first two cuts on the CD. While I love Jello Biafra, I just want to get to the meat of it- which is "IMOKRUOK". This is to this day one of my favorite techno cuts ever. If you ever owned a Speak and Spell you will know what I am talking about. The whole CD is immaculately mixed. Beyond anyone else. The use of "Vogue" between "IMOKRUOK" and "Space Funk" is pure genius. Anyone that would diss this CD just doesn't know what they are talking about. |

Theatrical, Indeed Submitted on: 2002-03-09 |

| I swear every time I listen to this CD, when it's over I feel like I just watched a movie. I think this is the effect Keoki was going for with his 'themed' mixes (Disco Deathrace 2000, Transatlantic Move?) Well, it works. Oh yeah, I did alot of bouncing to the beats and rapping along with Junkie XL along the way too... |

| I can say nothing less about Keoki other than he's fantastic. I still have not had the honor to see him perform live, but too all the friends and fans I've spoken to about it, I have heard nothing but complete bliss. There's something to be said when you rate one of his CDs 5 stars and hear that watching him perform is much better. OK, enough of the drama, let's get to this CD... For one, I would recommend purchasing this CD on the spot simply for the first track alone! It helps set the stage for a different listening experience in the art of techno unlike that of others, and the lyrics are just hilarious! It's the type of song a teen can play loudly in hopes that his parents can understand the message, in a comical sense that is. The CD then begins to take a deeper, darker tone that is eloquently mixed together for a trippy and fun ride. Keoki definitely proves his talents with this one, for when I first started listening to techno, he was one of the first names mentioned by many to me. It's unique the way he brings together the tracks on this CD, as they don't flow like a trance CD, but more like a build-up-to-something-else kinda feel. Trust me, if you like Keoki, I'm sure you'll enjoy this CD. |
