| This is the first CD Roxette put out and is probably one of the best. If you are a Roxette fan this is a must own. |

| I must say I have always wanted this cd and I finally have it! I have heard a few of these tracks before, like "I call your name" and " Soul Deep" to name a few. This cd screams Roxette and only a true fan of Roxette should own this cd.Not someone who only likes a few of their songs. They definitly have more spunk back then, than they do now. I love them no matter what though. You'll love this cd! |

The Roxette first Submitted on: 2009-02-20 |

This was Roxette's first album, and it is not their cathchiest or best. Hence the 3 stars... but it was a portent of things to come. Apparrently it was translated directly from Swedish so the lyrics sometimes dont scan properly and rhymes don't match up. A lot of them, espcially the now extremely annoying 'Neverending Love' has aged atrociously! Its SO throwaway 80's pop. But the songwriting is still generally good, with some of the songs being as beautiful and memorable as later offering would be. 'So Far Away' is gorgeous. One of the best ballads Roxette ever came up with! And 'Surrender' is a catchy little song, very uplifting, and will remind you of the 80s in a good way. Its not a good album to buy 1st nowadays, but you will still appreciate most of it once you become a big fan.

| Being Roxette's first disc, it's smooth. It's not like their breakout album, Look Sharp! but it leads up to that. It's a perfect gift for any Roxette fan. |

Great 80's pop music Submitted on: 2006-08-25 |
|
| Over the years Roxette has created some of the most melodic, catchy, and rockin' pop tunes around. This CD is a genuine gem for not only their fans, but anyone who likes 80's music. The extra tracks are all good, with the acoustic demo of "I call your name" being a real standout. The inclusion of "It must have been love" helps give this CD some weight, as the only thing lacking from the original album was a bonafide hit. But make no mistake about it, this is pure Roxette, a little unrefined and a little unpolished, but still GREAT! |
