 Really cool for Conor fans, for others not so much

| The intro instrumental stands as a pretty cool jam to start this cd off. The rest of the album is obviously a low-fi recording that conor and friends pretyt much did from their basement/garage. It's good if you love his voice, but for my tastes the predominatly acoustic tracks are a little too slow. I love Bright Eyes' work, but this is the weakest of it in my opinion. Don't buy it first if your just getting into BE, buy F and M or a newer album first. |

| honestísimo conjunto de canciones de Oberst que probablemente sirvan para sus fans más incondicionales. La calidad de la grabación es ínfima, la voz de Oberst parece proceder de un estado clínico terminal y duele escucharle. Si Elliott Smith hubiera grabado estas mismas canciones tendríamos un cd impresionante, pero con la voz del pobre Connor se queda en una grabación colegial emocionante pero musicalmente pobrísima. Me havenido a la memoria la colección de acústicos de Lennon que salvando las siderales distancias tiene una producción musical igual de sofisticada. Se diría que la misma Yoko Ono está detrás de estA grabación ( de hecho hace voces de fondo en la pista 8 " Driving fast.....". Saludos |
