Great Value for Instrumental Rock Submitted on: 2009-09-21
I purchased the original set of Rock Dreams years ago and have enjoyed the music immensely. I wondered if this 3-CD set would be similar. I believe that these selections are better as background music with the exception of a few that I like to hear loud. The number of songs for the price makes this an exceptional value. There are many rock instrumentals but the same ones seem to be recorded by a variety of conductors. This set contains music rarely found on those CDs. I like to mix these CDs with others that I listen to as a break from those that are best listened to with the volume cranked up.
Another Masterpiece from RPO Submitted on: 2000-06-24
Royal Philharmonic is one of my favourite orchestra, and they've done it again with this masterpiece of pop/rock re-works. Some track like Hotel California, Careless Whisper, La Isla Bonita are very good. And the others are nice also. I found myself listen to them again and again, although not as often as the "Classic Rock" and "Symphonic Rock" series from London Symphony Orchestra (LSO).
However, some tracks are still not-so-good... Anyway, I think this one still worth listening, and deserved 4 stars from me.
