A charming album, for the child in us Submitted on: 2007-08-29 |
|
| I love Paige O'Hara from her wonderful performances in Show Boat and other cast albums and also for her star turn as Belle in the only real version of Beauty and the Beast. I was looking to purchase another copy of her Jerry Herman CD for a friend and I came across this for a shamelessly low amount of money used in good condition. I figured what the heck, I will probably enjoy it. It arrived, I grabbed it and put it in the car CD player and there it stayed for 2 or 3 days as I played through it 3 or 4 times. It is quite charming, an album geared to younger people and people who have a strong inner child. It starts off with a lovely version of Never Never Land, which is a favorite song of mine. I just sing along with it (Ms. O'Hara and I have similar ranges) and it continues on in the same charming vein for 45 lovely minutes. I do wish the CD ran a bit longer, I'm sure I would have enjoyed whatever 2 or 3 additional songs she put on it. A very enjoyable CD that seems to have attracted very little attention. |

Music from your dreams Submitted on: 2005-08-04 |

Paige O'Hara has one of the most enchanting
voices you could imagine. Her voice is rich
and beautifully resounding; thanks to its
lightness, you never get tired of listening
to it, no matter what Paige sings.
For "Dream With Me" cd, Paige chose dreamy
(hence the title) classics and some soothing
lullabies. The album is surprisingly appealing
to all ages; everyone will be charmed by the
beauty of Paige's vocals, singing to the timeless songs.
So just close your eyes and...dream with the wonderful Paige. |

Glorious and crystalline-clear voice Submitted on: 2004-01-04 |

| The singing voice of Belle in "Beauty and the Beast" has released an album for children. O'Hara has this pristine quality in her vocal equipment that renders songs innocent and Disney-magical. Her duet with Jodi Benson (the voice of Ariel in "The Little Mermaid") in "When You Wish Upon A Star" is priceless and a study in contrast -- both have strong singing voices but there was no desire to overpower one another. But even more engaging is O'Hara's version of the title track in "Beauty and The Beast" which she never get to sing in the movie. |

enchanting!!! Submitted on: 2000-10-17 |

| Hi everyone! This is one of the best CD's I have ever bought! Paige, as always, brings tears to my eyes with her fairy tale like voice. I especilly loved "When you wish upon a star", her fantastic duet with the magical Jodi Benson {Ariel's voice in "The little mermaid"}, and Paige's version to "Somewhere out there" performed with her husband Michael. No, it's not a CD one would necessarily choose to aerobesize with, *smile*, but it is full of powerful magnetism, and it makes you BELIEVE again. A MUST for anyone who was touched by a lonely, misunderstood peasant girl who fell in love with a beast. Remarcable!!! |

A very beautiful cd for adults as well as children Submitted on: 1999-06-27 |
|
| After seeing the previous review for this cd, I had to give a different viewpoint. I absolutely loved this cd, and I think many will if they give it a chance. It isn't meant for adults, as it is a children's cd. Don't judge it as such. I especially loved Paige's versions of "Counting Your Blessings," and "Somewhere Out There." I highly recommend this cd for those moments when you want to mellow out. |
