A true gem Submitted on: 2006-12-19 |

| This album is full of tight, distinct and interesting songs. I bought it when it came out and it sounds as good today as when it came out. It really holds up. This is one of my "go to" CD's when I know I want to hear good upbeat music. Check it out for her unique voice, solid songwriting and infectious melodies. Can't understand why she isn't better known. |

| I heard mary on the radio a few years back and bought the disk. I think it is a great album in the classic sense. I'm on the site looking for other work, yet see none. Too bad! |

The Best CD You Haven't Listened To Submitted on: 2001-07-12 |

| I bought this album back in 1996 because of a review I read in the Boston Globe. I still play it and I'll never understand why it didn't garner radio airplay or make Mary the breakout artist she deserved. Clever, infectious, melodic, country-rock-pop and a great supporting line up including Kay Hanley, Jackson Browne and David Hildago. If your a fan of this genre then you owe it to yourself to check it out. |

One of the Finest Submitted on: 2001-07-03 |

| Too often the best music and the best artists never make the radio airwaves. Mary Karlzen's album is among the best work in pop music in the last 15 years. My CD collection numbers more than 700 and I consider Yelling at Mary to be one of the best in the collection. Pop music melodies with deep, emotional lyrics make this album a real treasure. |

One of the Lost Masterpieces Submitted on: 1999-07-07 |

| This is power pop at its finest. It is a tragedy that Mary Karlzen wasn't successful with this record--it got great reviews, but never sold. I still play it regularly. |
