Customer Reviews of This Album/CD

It's "Electric".

This album may not sound like what you'd expect a "Monster Magnet-Soundgarden" fusion to sound like (which I have fantasized about), but it's still pretty sweet. It's more a psychedelic garage-rock kind of thing, than the grunge/stoner rock of their former bands. I haven't completely absorbed this album yet, but "Compellor" sounds like the strongest song, and "Red Light Green Light" and "Good Pushin'" are good too. The guitar work of "John McBain" is decent, and I also like hearing "Matt Cameron" sing as he beats the skins. "Josh Homme" from "QOTSA" also guests on a few tracks. Overall it's pretty good, just "Outshined" by their old bands.
The wellwater is good.

I just gave the AUDIOSLAVE disc another listen and I have to say, I'm still unimpressed and glad I stumbled across this. Being an old school SOUNDGARDEN fan, I felt the talent in that great band would strech far and wide. It is a shame that CHRIS CORNELL's projects have been somewhat less passionate than his work in SG, but It's a pleasure to see MATT CAMERON doing much more than playing skins for PEARL JAM. WELLWATER CONSPIRACY is the brainchild (or moonchild) of CAMERON and MONSTER MAGNET guitarist JOHN McBAIN, and they rock. In this, their second release, they meld psychedelic rock with funk and hooky alternative progression to make a solid recording that grows on you after every listen. CAMERON does vocals, and well too. His voice flows nicely with a lazy hamonic hook to the ever-excellent drumming he also provides. McBAIN I wasn't too familiar with prior to this but proves his skill and then some with some great string work. JOSH HOMME, the superhero from QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, stops by as well to provide vox on three of the tracks. If you like good alternative rock 'n roll, there is no conspiracy, this is the real deal. I can't wait to explore the other releases by this cool band, after hearing this record- you will too. Good stuff.
This album rocks.....properly

unlike a lot of the mimic bands out there today..that pretty much all use the same garage lo fi type influence...the wellwater conspiracy stands alone as an album with decent production values...and tunes that rock rather nicely! way different from anything the members have previously done...its a pleasant suprise to say the least....! :) try and get ur hands on the limited vinyl release....(its how it should be played!)
real nice places herein

I bought The Scroll and it's Combinations cd on a whim and fell in love with it after first listen.I got this cd because I liked the scroll cd so much. This cd is as great if not better.I couldnt say which cd was a better cd.They are both some of the best music I have heard in a long time and I hope Matt and john continue to play together and make another cd. The music is hard to explain other then being excellent. It has a 60's psychidelic feel but with much better playing and determination to make excellent music.if you dont have any of wellwater's cd's. Youve missed out on some of the best music being made, period. You wont be disappointed, trust me.
