The Christmas Song album by Nat King Cole is great.The price was fantastic,and the product was in very good condition. The product arrived in a good time frame. I was very satisfied.

I have listened to Nat King Cole Christmas music since I was a kid. I had the cassette tape of The Christmas Song, and it finally died. I thought I was replacing it with the same cd version, but the cd lacks 4 upbeat songs that the tape has, including "I Saw Three Ships," "Joy To The World," and "Caroling, Caroling." This cd only has 10 slow Christmas ballads, which are great, but I love the 4 others that it lacks.

"The Christmas Song" is Nat King Cole's signature Christmas song. This CD includes "The Christmas Song" and several other Christmas songs. Nat did the definitive version of Mel Torme's "The Christmas Song" and the other songs on this album sound great, too.

Nat "King" Cole had one of the smoothest voices around. On top of that, "The Christmas Song" is one of the best Christmas songs ever made.
I happened to read the disparaging review from 2005, and, this person is either being oddly sarcastic, or, he needs a serious re-evaluation of his cynical outlook on life. It's a Christmas album, so lighten up, buddy! Did you ever see the movie, "A Christmas Carol"? Rent that movie, grab a couple of ham sandwiches and a big cold glass of Coca-Cola, and watch Scrooge's transformation. Or, listen to the satirical version, "Chipmunks roasting on an open fire", by Bob Rivers, if it will help you to lighten up. Sorry, I am getting off-topic.
As another reviewer mentioned, the unlisted bonus track (#20) is of the 1946 recording of "The Christmas Song", which is a nice way to round out the album, since each version is good in its own way.
I guess I'm a little biased, since Christmas is my favorite time of year (when I consume large portions of sinful things like ham, chocolate, and other goodies), and I grew up hearing this song, along with other classics, like Bing's "White Christmas", every holiday season.
As a wise DJ once said, "Aren't you glad this is the music You grew up with?"

I love this album. Just bought it for a 3rd time. Music that calms the beast. Vocals that make you want to sit in front of a fire and snuggle with the one you love. Merry Christmas!

I like this Album. Although Nat 'King' Cole wasn't part of my generation, his music lives on for those of us of the 'Baby Boomers', who grew up listening to his music. The real "magic" of this album is the variety of the Christmas Sounds on it. Especially one number that is sung in complete German. That blew my mind! How talented this man was! One-of-a-kind, no doubt!

I am so glad I finally found this CD. You see this is a second copy for me. I took our original copy to work during the Christmas in July and it went missing from the case. Of course, first I searched all of our local stores, but they did not carry it anymore. The process to order was easy, and it arrived quickly. My husband was so suprised (and pleased). He did not know I was trying to replace it. Thank you.

This CD is exceptional. I grew up listening to it, and to me it embodies Christmas. I would recommend this to anyone who likes the era Nat sang out of, or enjoys classic Christmas songs sung by a rich tenor. He's great!
