My favorite song on this cd is One Love-had someone sing it during my wedding seven years ago. Just picked up my second copy. There were some great song writers that worked on this cd. The music on this cd is beautiful.

A New Album Submitted on: 2005-03-19 |

| When I first heard Commissioned as a child, I found their sound strange and unique. However it subconciously left an impression on me. Years later, I rediscovered this dynamic group with the release of their reunion album (I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Fred Hammond was part of this group. He is one of my favorite gospel artists). It was great seeing them all together and matching faces and names with the voices. They performed many songs that I liked in the past, and I was surprised that they were the ones that sung them. After hearing the reunion album, I grew more interested in Commissioned, and soon started started buying their early albums. The music took a while to grow on me, but it did, and soon I was looking for more. I started looking for albums that contained the hits performed at the reunion concert, hits such as "Let Me Tell It", "Secret Place", "Please You More", and "I Can't Live Without You." I recently bought "State of Mind", and I got to hear "I Am Here" (the original is beautiful), "Let Me Tell It", and "Everlasting Love." I also bought "Time and Seasons" a few weeks later, and it was interesting to hear how they had changed over the years but their message was still the same. I particularly like the way they seamlessly combine scriptures in their songs. They are truly anointed by the Lord. The songs on this album didn't affect me quite the way the previous ones had, but I believe it's only a matter of time. I particularly like "Testify", "Psalms 84", "Clean Heart" (I kept playing that one over and over), and "Walk Right." This was their last studio album, and their music has been blessing for 20 years. I like Commissioned and I hope they're not done as group. It would be nice if they were to release a new studio album for their 20th anniversary, but I know that it must be the Lord's timing, so I am willing to wait longer if necessary. |

Excellent Work of Art! Something for every taste and age. Truly Commissioned is Committed to their call! I love to clean the house to track #6 "You've Been Good", (only to end up doing more shouting than cleaning) I know i'm way late buying it but... (i'm an avid gospel radio listener and recorded some of these tracks on blank cassette, but aint nothin like the real thing!!) After the "Reunion" i said I better hurry and get all their CD's before they're all sold out. (I have the original full size albums before CDs ever came out) However, you will be truly BLESSED having a copy of this CD, My favorites are "Glorius Praise", "Psalms 84", "Just Worship", "Believe", "One Love", "Charge it to my Head", "Testify", (did I just name every track?) Get This One! Its awesome work! It will Bless you. Marcus and Chris are perfect additions to the group and i'm anticipating watching Commissioned on T.V. walk up to the podium and Thank God for that much overdue Award in the near future. (guys Dont Forget to thank Every Person since the first album in 85 that had a Significant part in you getting to that climactic level in your careers) You are already Winners in the Kingdom of God! Thankyou for such anointed, life-changing music thru the years, keep it coming...! Wow what decorated Crowns you guys will have on in Glory!!, no earthly award even comes close!!!!!! |

Why Did I Wait So Long? Submitted on: 2003-07-01 |

| This album is beautiful!!! The first couple of times I listened to it, I literally cried. Unlike many artists today: they recognize God, their words have meaning, their vocals are flawless, and their harmony is great! On this record, each person shines! Regrettably, I must admit that I passed over this c.d. on several occassions. I figured since most of the former members had gone solo, it wouldn't be the same. In a way, I was right. This group is not like it used to be... it's BETTER! These guys have wonderful chemistry, and I am looking so forward to hearing more from them. |

Surprisingly Standard Commissioned Submitted on: 2002-04-27 |

| Let me be honest. After Montell and Marvin left the group after Irreplaceable Love, I thought my boys were finished. My heart greatly yearned for more Commissioned and I was resigned to the fact that I wasn't going to get it. Then here comes this album. I was still a little skeptical(why I don't know), because of the two new members. However, these guys did it once again. It's amazing how the blend of their voices get better even though there's been constant change! Mitchell and Karl are the anchors, and Marcus and Chris fit nicely. The harmony is incredible. It sounds like these guys have been singing together forever. You need to buy this album. "Create In Me A Clean Heart" is wonderful. "Trying Of Your Faith" is another Commissioned neck-breaker. This album does nothing but further enhance the legacy that is "Commissioned" |
