Customer Reviews of This Album/CD

The Genius known as Saviour Machine!
Submitted on: 2008-10-12
This album introduced me to Saviour Machine, well actually two songs on a various Artist CD and from there i brought all of their albums! This CD is the beginning of one of the greatest epics in Modern Rock History. Saviour Machine is one of the most creative bands out there and the style they use fits the story they wish to tell "The end of the world"!

This album is the most doomiest album they have put out, this album starts off with a great musical intro, this sets the tone of the album. This album has been described to me as "depressing" and it is very down tempo, which is what I like about it and it sets the mood for the what is going to happen. He is about to tell the story of "how the world ends" and do you want him singing it in an upbeat way, where it sounds like he is happy for it, or do you want him to present it in a down temp beat that borders on Doom?

This album shows how he can reach out and play with the emotion of the listener, make them feel sad that the world is coming to an end. He invites you on a journey that will span four albums and listen to the "sound track to the end of the world".
Revelation

Revelation never sounded so good...The wait is almost over for the final CD...I can't wait. Legend is one of the greatest musical accomplishments that the earth has ever seen. Saviour Machine really broke the mold with this one.

The Beginning Of A True Epic

In the years I've been listening to Saviour Machine, not one person I've shared their music with has had anything bad to say about it. Don't think that you have to be Goth to love this band. Saviour Machine's sound (as has been said before) is a mix of Goth, Metal, Classical, Opera, and Progressive Rock/Metal.

This Legend series of albums is almost Wagnerian in it's scale; spanning four CDs and, in all likely hood, more than five hours in length when Legend Part III:II is released next summer. Each song moves into the next one seamlessly and, in most cases, with no break in the music. Each one has been a master work in and of itself (Legend Part I in particular), but put them together and you have a musical endeavor that is truly (pardon the bad joke) the stuff of Legends.

Alas, to delve too deeply into discussion of Legend would ruin the experience of listening to it. I am eagerly anticipating and patiently waiting for the release of Legend Part III:II next summer. Saviour Machine is pushing for a release date of July 7, 2007. Yes, 7/7/07.
INTERESTING!!!!!!!! AND WELL DONE!! MAKES YOU THINK!!!

This is A most interesting album! I listened to samples of this CD at a local christian book store. It's hard to describe. It sounds like the star wars soundtrack with a little guitar and A vocalist.Music that John Williams could apreciate. The singers sound like A duet of David bowie and Type O negatives lead singer I believe his name is Peter Steele,But dont quote me on that!any ways I dont Know who they're names are who are in the band,But it rocks and it makes you think about where your relationship is with God! I'm not sure if I'll buy this CD or not?.It is very well done nevertheless.
Good Stuff

Well, I grew up in a christian household and well...most of the music played in that house sucked.haha.Luckily when I was about 12 I was handed a demo tape of the since deceased R.E.X. records. It had some good death and hardcore stuff on it.Mainly Six Feet Deep, Living Sac, and Paramecium. So needless to say,I embraced this music to piss off my parents.I kept trying to find darker and darker music...and I can tell you that in the christian world, this is as good as it gets. These legend albums define most of my pre teen years and now as a real musician and fan of many styles of heavy, and not so heavy, and mainly so called "secular" music.I STILL back these albums.Eric Clayton(SM's frontman) has beautiful brooding vocals. And the orchestration as well as song placement of these albums,to me is nothing short of genius. My favorite song would have to be "The Night",a piano/vocals piece. Its great stuff for fans of the "goth" genre as well as doom, and even opera fans I would dare to say.Check it out.
