Not his best, but brilliant all the same Submitted on: 2000-02-14 |

| This is a very good album from Kuepper, made in the shadow of the extraordinary 'Today Wonder' but with a lusher, more fully produced sound than that brilliant album. Standout tracks include the opener "King of Vice" and the closer, "Summerfield". If you've never heard Ed sing, well, his voice isn't for everyone, but his guitar work is great and the overall mood of this album is haunting. If you can only buy one album of Ed's, look for "Today Wonder" (not currently listed at Amazon but readily available in Australia). But this is an excellent follow-up if you liked that album. |
